Welcome to our 2024/2025 year 5 class page. Our class teacher for this year is Miss Moran and we are supported by the wonderful Miss Kenyon and Miss Wilson. In addition to Miss Moran, we are also taught by Edstart for some of our PE sessions, Mrs Townley for French and Bury Music Service for Music. Please keep visiting our page to see what is going on in class and the wonderful work we have been producing !
PE is on Thursday and Friday. Children must come to school wearing their PE kit.
Our school PE kit is:
- a white t-shirt
- black shorts
- pumps for indoors
- trainers or pumps for outdoors
- plain, black jogging bottoms
- Navy cardigan/sweatshirt
Branded sportswear and hoodies should not be worn.
Children should bring their reading books and records to school every day. We place a big emphasis on reading and listen to the children read regularly. Reading books are changed as soon as they have been read, and each child has free choice over which book they would like to read next. Children are expected to read at home 3 x weekly and have their reading record signed by an adult. These will be checked each Friday.
Children who read 5 times in a week and their reading record has been signed will receive a superstar reader sticker and a prize from our prize box.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
