At St Hilda's we follow the White Rose Maths Schemes of Work. Below you can see the coverage of topics across the school year.
By making the number using place value counters, we were able to physically share the amount. If we didn’t have enough, we could exchange them (eg 1 tens counter could be changed for 10 ones counters).
From 2019-20, children in Year 4 will be required to complete a Times Table Check. This takes the form of a computer based test, where multiplication facts are flashed on the screen for 6 seconds. Children are expected to answer questions from all tables up to 12x12.
