Roman Day - Dantastic!

Thursday 14th October 2021

Roman Day in Year 4

We had an amazing time when Dantastic visited us for our Roman day.

We learnt lots of new things (and remembered loads of things that we had learnt from our lessons in Year 3 - Dan was really impressed!)

We were able to hold some real Roman coins, try on a centurions helmet, hold a Roman shield (which wasn't as heavy as we thought it might be) and try on some chain mail (which was a LOT heavier than we thought it would be!).

We practiced some Roman dancing and had a go at making an aqueduct which the Romans used to move water around.

What a great day!

Have a look at our photos to see what else we got up to.
