Children will critically evaluate Michael Morpurgo’s themes, characters, and writing style. They will learn to make connections between the author’s life and work. They should make personal connections between their own experiences and those of Michael and his characters.
As part of our author study, the children researched Michael Morpurgos life. They used important information to create a timeline of events in preparation for writing a biography about him.

The children learned all about good and bad microbes in science. They had a great time making their own microbes.
