I hope that you enjoy browsing our website and gain an insight into life at St Hilda’s CE (VA) Primary School.
I am extremely proud to be Headteacher of St Hilda’s. Why? Because of the dedication and commitment of my staff, the partnership with parents and the successes and achievements of our wonderful pupils. Our school really is the hidden gem of Prestwich!
At St Hilda’s, we provide a distinctively Christian, caring, stimulating and secure environment in which children are encouraged to be resilient, inquisitive, independent learners who strive to do their best in all aspects of school life. We welcome pupils of all faiths, beliefs and cultures and are very fortunate to have a vibrant, multi-cultural school! We place great emphasis upon the well-being and personal development of every pupil and our curriculum has been carefully designed to be stimulating, thought-provoking and challenging and our learning environment is lively, engaging and purposeful.
As a voluntary aided church school, the Christian ethos underpins everything we do in school, infusing all aspects of school life. This is clearly summarised in our mission statement strap line, developed by the governors, parents, staff and pupils:
‘Learning & growing together in Christ.’
And in our core values:
‘Creativity, Thankfulness, Perseverance, Love, Hope, Service, rooted firmly in Faith’.
Working in partnership with parents is essential and we actively encourage parents to be involved in the life of the school for the benefit of our pupils.
I would delighted to give you a tour of our lovely school and answer any questions you may have. Please call in or telephone to make an appointment.
Our website has been designed and created by the pupils, staff and other stakeholders of the school. I hope you find the website informative and easy to navigate.
