Welcome to Reception!
Your teacher this year is Mrs Booth. We will be supported by Miss Burton and Mrs Derbyshire. We will be doing lots of exciting things this year so please keep visiting our page to keep up to date.
Class Timetable
Morning Routine
We will be encouraging children to become independent in sorting out their belongings when they come into school in the mornings. This will include hanging up their coat and bag, taking out reading books and placing them into the basket and putting their water bottle on the shelf. We have found the sooner they do this independently, the easier they settle.
Our main priority for the first weeks of term is for children to settle in and feel happy and safe in the classroom environment. We will spend time teaching and embedding hygiene and hand washing routines and observing and getting to know children to identify their interests and likes and dislikes. This will inform planning for each child’s further learning.

World Book Day
Shrove Tuesday
PE
PE will take place on a Monday and a Wednesday. Children will need to come into school wearing their full PE kit.
Reading Books
Will be changed on a Tuesday and a Thursday. Please send your child's book into school everyday so an adult can listen to them read in school.
