On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, a very warm welcome to St Hilda’s CE (VA) Primary School – a school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to flourish.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of such a vibrant, caring and inspiring school. It truly is a special place where the children are at the heart of everything we do.

Our Mission, ‘Learning and growing together in Christ’ is underpinned by Christian Values which shape our teaching and learning, our relationships, and the caring ethos that defines our school. We work hard to create a safe and happy environment in which all children can grow and learn together. We are passionate about equipping children, not only for academic success, but for life in the modern world. 

We are a wonderfully diverse inclusive school and we welcome children and families of all faiths and no faith. Every child is celebrated and valued as we believe every child is a precious and unique individual, full of potential and promise.

We are extremely fortunate to have a highly motivated and dedicated team of staff, who go above and beyond to create an environment where children feel safe, supported and inspired to do their very best. Their passion for teaching and commitment to each child’s wellbeing and progress is at the heart of our school’s success.

Our rich, broad and creative curriculum is designed to support children not only academically, but spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Through excellent teaching and a strong culture of care, respect and high expectations, we equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills and values they need to flourish in today’s world.

As a small school, we know every child and family personally. This allows us to provide a highly supportive, caring and nurturing environment, where each child is encouraged to shine in their own special way. We work closely with parents, carers, our local parish and wider community to offer the very best start in life for every child.
