Anglo-Saxon and Viking history (c. AD 787–1066) in Year 4 focuses on the struggle for control of Britain, moving from Viking raids to settlement, and the creation of a united England. Key topics include King Alfred the Great, the Danelaw, daily life, and the end of the era at the 1066 Battle of Hastings.
