This topic is all about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings.
We started the topic by looking at an Anglo-Saxon poem called ‘The Ruin’ which is a poem all about Britain after the Romans left.
In Year 3 we learnt all about the Romans and this really helped us to understand what it was like once they left Britain and how everything changed (for the worst initially). We wrote our own poems in groups about this and these were great!
Then we created a huge timeline that showed important dates during the Anglo-Saxon age. We were amazing at this and put the dates in order really quickly.
