Posting Positivity

The Loneliness Minister is asking people to consider writing letters and cards to those still isolating as lockdown measures ease to ensure they don’t feel forgotten. In Bury, a scheme has already been set up: Posting Positivity is a new Youth Participation project by Bury Youth Cabinet in partnership with Bury Grammar School. Children and young people across the borough can write letters or draw pictures for people who are isolated during the Covid-19 pandemic, for delivery to residential care homes and via the community hubs to help people feel more connected and reduce isolation.  Letters can be posted into boxes located in Tesco in Prestwich and Bury or they can be e-mailed and sent to Youth Participation, who will be vetting letters for safeguarding purposes prior to onward delivery. For more info e-mail: youthparticipation@bury.gov.uk.

A weekly resource sheet from our friends at Manchester Diocese with a daily reading prayer and other activities based around the Christian value of VULNERABILITY.
