In our English lessons we will look at narrative and non-fiction texts as well as poetry. We use a variety of high quality texts in English. We use a RAW (Read, Analyse, Write) approach to writing. We also have daily Phonics lessons.

Year 1 have been reading ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr. They had lots of fun as they experienced their very own tea party, of sandwiches, crisps and cakes, whilst listening to the story.
